ARTISTS / Guillaume, Albert

French 1873-1942
Guillaume was a painter and a leading caricaturist during the Belle Époque, most well known for his poster art. He was greatly influenced by Jules Cheret. He was also a prolific contributor to the Parisian satirical humor magazines of the day: L'Assiette au Beurre, Le Rire, Gil Blas, and Le Figaro Ilustre.
